First Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession provides us with an opportunity to encounter the mercy and compassion of our God. Through this Sacrament we find the Grace of God to overcome sin and be reconciled to God and one another. The Sacrament Reconciliation/Confession is celebrated on Saturdays from 4:00-4:30 PM in the church. Individuals may visit during office hours for individual confessions or call to schedule an appointment.
In the Gospel of John we see Jesus establish the Sacrament of Confession, "When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. [Jesus] said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he had said
this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”-John 20:20-23
Pope Fancis reminds us, "He never gets tired of forgiving, but we at times, we get tired of asking forgiveness."
During the Seasons of Advent and Lent Communal Penance Services are celebrated.
